Late night television host Conan O’Brien knows funny. And Apple, well Apple knows self-promotion and tablet computing.
After following up on its success with the original iPad, Apple Wednesday (March 2) responded to increasing competition in the tablet computing space with the iPad 2 ─ a leaner, faster and more powerful version of its landmark tablet, the iPad . And the company’s slick marketing machine wasted no time posting this promotional video touting the revolutionary vision of its team members.
O’Brien responded with a vision of his own and does a pretty funny send-up of the whole affair in a video parody of Apple’s somewhat grandiose iPad infomercial.
Still, it is a testament to Apple’s brilliant marketing plan that the iPad 2 is already making its way through the nation’s cultural and entertainment dialogue.
