App of the Day (ZombieSmash!)

Chances are you passed dozens of zombies this morning on your commute. Maybe a batch just bored you to death at the water cooler. Yes, folks we are surrounded by a certain type of undead at every turn, but rarely are we tasked with laying them to waste.

Well fear not future Zombie hunter, the iPad has a smashing new app for you: ZombieSmash! This quasi survival comedy game features an undead-themed castle defense and physics-based gameplay. The game casts players as Joey, a lone survivor pit against a herd of writhing, unrelenting zombies. You, Joey, must defeat the undead masses using your fingers to flick and smash the marauding hordes until they're un-undead.

Bet you wish you could do that at the water cooler.

A sophisticated ragdoll physics produce unique and hysterical zombie deaths and the proprietary SplatterEngine renders adorable cartoon blood and gore in a convincing and entertaining fashion, all helping make ZombieSmash! our App of the Day .
