iPad for Under $400? Get it Before iOS 4.2!

iPadNewsDaily has not yet been able to confirm this surprising bit of information for ourselves, but at least one media outlet is claiming that TJ Maxx is offering Apple’s 16GB Wi-Fi iPad for $399.

That’s $100 less than iPad creator Apple is offering the entry level device for at its own stores.

Technology publication Engadget today posted a photo sent in from a tipster that showed a Vernon, N.Y. TJ Maxx offering the tablet for the surprisingly low price .
