Victoria's Secret for iPad Review

Victoria's Secret for iPad is an informative app that lets you shop through the lingerie store's available items while offering informative details on the models that wear them, making it an ideal program to educate you about the fine materials that go into lingerie...ahh, who are we kidding? Some of you are going to pick this up for the same reason that you snag a Victoria's Secret catalog -- out of the sheer guilty pleasure of ogling beautiful models while spotting pieces of lingerie in the hopes that your girlfriend will pick them up for your next outing.

Granted, this isn't just some piece of porn that Apple let slide by onto the App Store by mistake. Far from it. This is actually a tastefully done App that gives you details on everything the Victoria's Secret line has to offer, while conveniently containing plenty of footage and pictures of beautiful women. So, yeah, it's a win/win situation -- and one that won't cost you any money to boot.

The main reason for this App's existence is to make shopping through the Victoria's Secret catalog more useful. Rather than flip through the same old folding pages, you can scan the program for your favorite items, then simply tap on them to be taken to its virtual shopping page. The shopping in itself is very simple, though you'll need an Internet connection in order to access the VS Web page. Without it, the program will just sit at a black screen.

There is bonus content as well. Each of the supermodels have "secrets" to uncover (most of them revolving around the joys of wearing lingerie) and you'll also gain access to behind-the-scenes photo shoots, both in undergarments and swimwear. Between the sunny beaches and the behind-the-scenes goods at the VS Fashion show, there's more than enough to see here.

Along with the virtual gallery and Website functionality, Victoria's Secret for iPad also provides a store locator, should you be on a vacation and in a sudden need for something sexy. You can also send pictures to your friends, either via social networking sites or a much more discreet email option. Again, you'll need online access, but if you have a 3G-supported iPad, that shouldn't be a problem.

Though it's geared more towards adults and doesn't go too deep into the history of Victoria's Secret itself, this App is pretty helpful when it comes to shopping for that special piece of lingerie. And for the guys, it provides a great guilty pleasure when you need to break away from the games, in favor of some eye candy. And considering the free cost, it's hard to deny -- just like Victoria's Secret itself. (Oh, and if my girlfriend asks, you didn't hear that coming from me.)
