The Samsung Galaxy Tab has fast become the worst-kept secret in the tablet industry, with a series of leaks and sightings over the last few months. Now things are getting a bit more official with a teaser video released by Samsung.
In the electronics world, leaks and the press coverage that follows aren't exactly a bad thing, but it's nice to see some non-blurry footage and official acknowledgment from the manufacturer.
The video is also useful for confirming some rumored specs. Confirming rumors, the company says the Samsung Galaxy Tab does indeed have a 7-inch display and will run Android 2.2. But this video reveals plenty more: video calling, Swype gesture texting, high-definition video playback, Adobe Flash support (finally!), GPS navigation and e-book reader functionality.
Samsung's teaser also confirms that the Galaxy Tab will get an official unveiling at the IFA 2010 convention happening in Berlin on September 2. Expect a full rundown then.
